unideco — Modular Brand Identity & Visual System

Role

Art Direction, Brand Identity Design, Visual System Development, Spatial / Object System Adaptation

Project Description
The project developed for Unideco is a holistic brand system, starting from naming and extending across identity design, logo system, visual language, catalog design, factory applications, and spatial/industrial design elements.

Rather than focusing solely on corporate identity, the process aimed to build a brand system that directly reflects the logic of the product itself.

Problem
Unideco’s product structure is based on modular systems—units that combine to form larger configurations. However, the existing visual identity did not reflect this core logic.

The brand needed an identity that was not only recognizable, but inherently connected to its modular product structure.

Approach
The concept of “unit + decoration” became the foundation of the entire visual system.

Principles such as modularity, combination, assembly, and structural formation were translated into the logo, pattern language, surface design, and spatial applications.

The modular symbol used in the logo was not treated as a purely graphic element. Instead, it was extended into a physical system—applied across factory visuals, surface treatments, reception areas, and spatial installations.

Execution
– Developed the brand naming and positioning strategy
– Built the visual system based on the “unit + decoration” concept
– Designed a geometric logo system representing modular structure
– Created a pattern language derived from cubic forms and three-dimensional perception
– Applied the system across corporate materials, catalogs, and communication surfaces
– Developed wall graphics and surface applications within the factory environment
– Designed a spatial approach for the reception area and desk
– Created a flexible modular system where small units can combine into stands, seating elements, tables, or other functional configurations

Outcome
Unideco was transformed from a conventional corporate identity into a modular brand system that connects product logic, graphic language, spatial design, and physical interaction.

The project represents an interdisciplinary art direction process where brand strategy is translated into visual, spatial, and functional design.

The modular structure at the core of the brand was extended from the logo into spatial and object design; through modular units developed for the reception area, this system evolved into a flexible configuration that can be recomposed in different combinations and, when needed, separated into seating elements—transforming the brand into a system that is not only seen, but physically experienced.

The established brand language was reinterpreted within the catalog, evolving into a layered visual narrative system that not only presents the products, but also conveys the brand’s way of thinking
