REEBOK : Try on Tour Project
Modüler Stant Tasarımı
Role
Art Direction, Spatial Experience Design, Modular System Design, Retail Experience Strateg
Project Description
Try On Tour is a mobile, modular retail experience system developed for Reebok, designed to be deployed across multiple locations.
Rather than a conventional product display stand, the project was conceived as an experiential platform where users can physically test footwear across different surfaces, creating a direct sensory connection with the brand.
Problem
In sports footwear retail, user experience is often limited to superficial interaction. Products are tried on, but real usage conditions are rarely simulated.
Additionally, delivering a consistent brand experience across multiple locations is challenging. Fixed retail setups lack flexibility, and product display, user experience, and brand storytelling often remain disconnected.
Approach
The focus of the project shifted from product display to product experience.
The process began with analyzing the usage scenarios of Reebok footwear, redefining the relationship between user and product. This relationship was then translated into a spatial system:
– A modular structure adaptable to different environments
– Experiential surfaces enabling direct physical interaction
– A retail concept where the brand is experienced spatially and behaviorally, not just visually
This approach transformed the stand from a display unit into a mobile experience platform.
Execution
– Designed a modular system adaptable to multiple footprints (1.5×1.5 / 1.5×3 / 2×2 / 2×4)
– Integrated fitting room, storage, and display within a compact structure
– Developed a mobile system with wheels for easy transport and setup
– Created experiential zones with grass, gravel, wood, and concrete surfaces
– Enabled users to test products under different ground conditions
– Implemented sliding partitions and multi-functional storage for flexibility
– Designed adaptable branding surfaces for campaign-specific applications
– Unified display, testing, and experience zones within a continuous flow
Outcome
Try On Tour established a scalable retail experience system for Reebok, designed to be deployed across various locations. The system transformed product testing into an experiential process, strengthening the interaction between user and brand. The space evolved from a passive display environment into an active experience platform—shifting retail design from product presentation toward user-centered spatial experience.
